It’s time to talk

18th– 24th October is Stepping Out’s Childhood Sexual Abuse (CSA) Awareness Week. This date commemorates the 3-year anniversary of the Commonwealth Government’s ‘National Apology to Victims & Survivors of Institutional Child Sexual Abuse’.

Shining a much-needed spotlight on an issue that effects 1 in 6 women in Australia.

It’s hard to hear but it’s time to listen. Childhood Sexual Abuse is not easy to talk about, nor is it a subject that people feel comfortable hearing. 1 in 6 women have experienced Childhood Sexual Abuse. Enough is enough, its time to be heard.

Post a message of support with the hashtag #CSAAwarenessWeek and tag 6 of your friends.

Our aim this week and every other week is to help more women tell their stories and start the healing process.
