As part of the NSW Going Home Staying Home (GHSH) reform in 2014, Stepping Out Housing Program (SOHP) entered into a partnership arrangement with the Women and Girls Emergency Centre (WAGEC). Within this partnership, WAGEC is identified as the contract agency, while partner agencies are identified as sub – contractors. The five partner agencies, including WAGEC are identified as the Partner Alliance Team (PAT) consortium. The consortium members are; Women and Girls Emergency Centre, Stepping Out, Wesley Mission, Jewish House and St Vincent De Paul NSW Support Services.
As WAGEC is the contract agency, all GHSH project funds are directly allocated to WAGEC by Family and Community Services (FACS), proportionate funding is then redistributed by WAGEC to PAT agencies according to the program level agreements.
SOHP is funded by WAGEC to provide services for the following programs:
- Inner City Homelessness Prevention and Support Service for Women and Women with Children (Potts Point)
- Sydney District West Family Homelessness Support Service (Burwood)
- Inner City Service for Homeless Women and Women with Children with complex needs and childhood sexual assault CSA: Restoration Service (Petersham)
For eligibility criteria and intake to any of these services, please contact WAGEC on 02 9319 4088
